The site operates an email newsletter service to any interested parties and has over one hundred current subscribers.  Mail is only sent when new material is added to the site, or with some other point of general interest to visitors.  To date a letter has been mailed approximately once every month or so, depending on site activity.

Subscribing to the list is not to be compared to membership, as no name / identity or password is required.

The system works on the email address alone and requires no other input.  There are no other operational settings, other than cancelling the subscription. This is done and confirmed via a personal web address and automatic email exchanges.

Subscribers cannot see other subscribers addresses, send personal mails, or input mail of any kind (apart from replies which come to myself via a different system).  It cannot be infiltrated by spamming systems.  It's not worth the trouble of getting in anyway.

If you are already on the list, the method of cancelling your subscription will be shown in the footer of each newsletter.

Please Note, especially if you are an inveterate exponent of 'click and try' like myself and Ken ;

This is a very conscientious system.  If you unsubscribe any given address, it will remain blocked even if you re-subscribe that address.  This is to prevent possible nuisance abuse of the system.  It can only be reinstated by using the normal site mail to myself, asking to unblock the address.
